A heavy duty ice chipper shaver with hardwood handle. It is inscribed "LIGHTNING NORTH BROS. PHILA. PA." Inscription is weak and hard to read. Used to shave ice from a block of ice for drinks etc. In good condition and 9-1/2 inches long and weighs more than one pound. Circa later 1800's.
