Antique Hickory Bark Peeler Shaver

Specialized tool that I have been told is used to peel bark from hickory trees for the purpose of weaving chair seats and baskets.  After removing the rough outer bark, I am told they would use this tool to precisely shave the bark to their needs.  The center blade, which is 5/8" wide, is sharpened on both edges, so it appears it can cut on push or pull.  The tool is 13 1/4" long and appears to be hand forged. Has a primitive imperfect look to it.  Hand forged.  Handle is solid.
